Wow! What a Week...
Balancing Chaos, Success, and the Power of Small Wins.
This week has already felt like three months’ worth of work. I like to keep it real and share my experiences as I see and live them. Running a business is no small feat, especially when you’re juggling multiple hats and trying to balance personal responsibilities. As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that navigating business and life isn’t about achieving perfect balance - it’s about staying agile, knowing when to shift your focus, and being resilient, even in the face of chaos.
One lesson I’ve come to deeply value is the importance of adaptability. IYLIA itself is proof of that. What began as a luxury fashion brand pivoted into a wine and beverage collection during the pandemic - a shift born out of necessity but fueled by vision. That willingness to embrace change opened doors I never could have imagined and has shaped IYLIA into what it is today: a thriving brand that reflects my love for Spain, my entrepreneurial spirit, and my belief in creating moments of joy.
But let’s be honest - entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. This week, in particular, was the exact opposite of last week. This week the bottom fell out of two months’ worth of projects, forcing me to reluctantly pivot yet again. The days can be long, the challenges relentless, and the responsibilities heavy. Some weeks, like this one, feel like an uphill climb with no end in sight. But in those moments, I remind myself to do one simple thing: celebrate.
Every milestone, no matter how small, deserves recognition. Whether it’s landing a new client, watching your product sell out, or simply surviving a grueling week, these wins are the fuel that keep the journey alive. Taking time to celebrate doesn’t just lift your spirits - it reminds you of how far you’ve come and keeps your vision alive, even on the toughest days.
For all my fellow entrepreneurs, here’s what I want to leave you with:
• Be adaptable. Change isn’t the enemy - it’s often the gateway to new opportunities.
• Prioritize progress over perfection. Small, consistent steps forward always add up.
• Pause, breathe, and try to celebrate all of your wins.
The entrepreneurial journey isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon, and the beauty lies in the process. Keep going, and never underestimate the power of perseverance and a positive mindset - even if it means gritting your teeth at times.
Here’s to another week of growth, resilience, and maybe even a chilled glass of IYLIA Premium Rosé Non-Alcoholic Sparkling to toast the wins - big and small.
Oxox,
Layla-Joy
